Zend PHP Conference 2009: Call for Papers

Welcome to the Call for Papers for the 2009 edition of ZendCon - The PHP Conference. This year's conference will be held October 19th - 22nd at the San Jose Convention Center and is being co-presented by S&S Media. It is the largest gathering of the PHP Community and the premier PHP conference, allowing all attendees to mingle with decision makers, core developers, prominent community members, and so many more.

To that end, we will be focusing on the following tracks this year, and encourage talks to be submitted that fit these categories. Talks that fit best within the categories listed will be given priority although we will consider all submissions:

The tracks are:

  • Server / Operations
    • Configuring LAMP stacks, Tweaking Web Server Performance, Using alternative Web Servers with PHP, Databases, etc.
  • Lifecycle Best Practices
    • Product Lifecycle, Versioning tools, Managing development teams, best practices for publishing code, etc.
  • Frameworks
    • Best Practices, Productivity gains, Cool features, all frameworks welcome. Sessions on applications that you've written on top of frameworks would be great as well.
  • Real World PHP
    • Interesting stories about problems that have been discovered in real production environments, and the solutions that were developed to combat these.
  • PHP Development Topics
    • Performance, Security, Session management, and more. All the things that people simply need to know how, in order to have functional production quality code.
